Tifosi Wire Frame Sunglasses I recently came across Tifosi Optics and I have liked what I have seen so far. I was recently in the market for a new pair of sunglasses and was trying to figure out which pair/name-brand glasses I wanted to purchase. The problem for me was all of the reputable brands were upwards of $200 per pair. Now, I know I wanted something more than the $15 pair of glasses on the rack at Target; however, forking out $200 for a pair of sunglasses was hard to swallow. Then, I came across a Tifosi retailer.



I had not heard of Tifosi; however, they had models of glasses very similar to the name-brand glasses I was previously considering, and the price was much better. So, I went home and jump on the Internet to start researching. Here are some of the facts, news, reviews, and information I learned:

  • "...Tifosi have quickly found a place as a quality, good-looking, effective, but reasonably priced product."
  • "The gunmetal frame and lens option (shown here) features Tifosi's new Fototec lenses that adjust to the light and change accordingly- in roughly eight seconds- using variable tint technology."
  • "Extensive research went into the Tifosi GT (Golf/Tennis) lens."
  • "Tifosi Optics has ranked number five in the eyewear category of both the Velonews 2005 Reader Survey and the Inside Triathlon 2005 Reader Survey."
Tifosi, I believe it is pronouced Te-fo-see (the Te is similar to the 'te" in the word ten), is touted as "Sunglasses by Enthusiasts for Enthusiasts". Tifosi offers specialty sunglasses for Golfers which have interchangable lenses for different lighting conditions, they have Fototec lenses which darken and lighten with lighting conditions, they have glasses made for runners, triatheletes, and the sunglasses are very popular amongst bikers or cyclists.

Ultimately, I was able to purchase two pairs of Tifosi sunglasses for less than the price of one pair of the "more-popular-named" sunglasses; and I am every bit as happy with my Tifosi as I could have been with the more expensive glasses, and I have two pairs! If you are in the market for some sunlasses, I would highly recommend checking out a Tifosi Dealer, the glasses are well made, research goes into the glasses, and they will not cost you a fortune.

    I love my Tifosi sunglasses. These are the only brand of sunglasses I will ever own again!
